Meet Dr. Klass
Dr. Darren Klass is an interventional radiologist, Medical Head of the MRI division, and IR Head of the Complex Thoracic Aortic Stent Graft Program at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Since 2011, he has also been affiliated with Vancouver Coastal Health.
Clinical and Educational Background
Dr. Klass is board certified in Canada and the United Kingdom. He completed his initial internship at Furness General Hospital located in Barrow-in-Furness, UK, and residencies in surgery as well as radiology at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Norwich, UK. Dr. Klass then completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at UBC.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Klass specializes in interventional oncology, aortic intervention, PVD, venous disease, and venous access. His subspecialties include locoregional tumor therapy, MR angiography, and treatment of venous disease.
DR. SANDEEP NATHAN, MD, MSC

Meet Dr. Nathan
Dr. Nathan is a general and interventional cardiologist, director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program, medical director of the cardiac ICU and co-director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory as well as an associate professor of medicine at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL, USA.
Clinical and Educational Background
Dr. Nathan completed his medical education from the Boston University School of Medicine, his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and his fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. He holds a master’s degree in clinical research. Currently, he serves as a principal investigator or co-investigator on several clinical trials.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Nathan specializes in coronary artery disease, cardiology, antiplatelet therapies, intravascular ultrasound, acute coronary syndromes, and peripheral artery disease. His research interests include platelet biology, interventional device therapies, intravascular imaging, and the use of antiplatelet and antithrombotic therapies (blood thinners) in the management of acute coronary syndromes and heart attacks.
DR. AJIT PURI, MD, DM, DMRE

Meet Dr. Puri
Dr. Puri is a professor of radiology, neurology, and neurosurgery. He is the director of the Integrated Cerebrovascular Program and the division of neurointerventional surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA, USA. He is also the co-director of the New England Center for Stroke Research.
Clinical and Educational Background
Dr. Puri is board certified in radiology and CAQ in neuroradiology as well as Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training (CAST) certified in neuroendovascular surgery. He received advanced fellowship training in diagnostic neuroradiology and neurointerventional surgery from Harvard Medical School affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Puri takes special interest in cerebral aneurysms, dural AVFs, carotid artery stenting, catheter-based stroke intervention, and high frequency OCT.
